Back to the 1st year days, our English teacher while explaining us the poem "Leisure" said; 'We, human beings, have become so self-centered that we do not have time to enjoy nature. We've become so busy that we even miss the sunset and sunrise.' He explained this whole thing with such grief that it made me think; 'What's all the fuss about sunrise and sunset and why is it so important to enjoy?' Well, Ignorant me!
One day, again, our Urdu teacher made us write a sher for reference:
ہم ایسے اہلِ نظر کو ثبوتِ حق کے لئے
اگر رسول نہ ہوتے تو صبح کافی تھی
AGAIN, the naive me thought "Subha me aisa kya hota hai? Mjhe to kbhi kuch anokha nazar nai aaya."
But thanks to this quarantine, I got time to enjoy the hugee blessing of nature; sunrise and sunset. There's a word in Urdu "رقت طاری ہوجانا", and that explains my feelings when I witness sunrise or the peaceful morning time. This quarantine has made me love nature like nothing.
I believe that we don't need to visit northern areas to enjoy nature but we can enjoy it every single day. The chirping of birds is no less than a melodious song, the beautiful colours on the sky feel like a painting! The quotations I used to write in Essays about nature now have a meaning, a deep meaning!
We take the blessings of Allah so for-granted.
سبحان اللہ و بحمدہ سبحان اللہ العظیم
