Career Change and Our Passions Of Life

Career, Road, Away, Way Of Life, Success

Only few among us follow our passions in life and most of us go to work, to jobs we don’t love, working tireless hours for someone else’s vision and dream.

Are you one of the people who dread going to work in the morning? Or while at work you feel like you’re staring at the clock all day just watching the minutes tick by? If you don’t feel like you’re loving the work you do anymore, it could be time for a career change.

Making a career change is one of the biggest decisions to make in your professional life because the changes you make in your career now will influence your future. So, how can you be sure that you're making the right decision?

Always know why you’re doing something because it helps you stay focused and make better decisions. As I always say an aimless person will end up nowhere. Hence, career change should be approached with laser sharp focus. Be very clear on the reasons why you want to make this change happen and take the time to think things through. Remember, this should not be an impulsive decision to happen overnight!

Take some time to carefully assess your values, interests, personality and skills. Look for what motivates and excites you. Whether you want to change career or step into business; mind it that the biggest hurdle is only in your head. Yes, changing careers or starting a business might seem daunting but don’t you let fear and nervousness hold you back.

If you dream of starting your own business, seek the advice of your experienced mentor. Learn to interpret the good input from the bad.

Trust and push yourself, and never forget that you can do this. I would say being a business owner is not for everyone but with passion and a solid plan, you should be on your way to being a successful entrepreneur.

Lastly, don't be afraid to completely change fields or go into business for yourself. You need to remind yourself that everything you've done to this point will not only fuel your interest in the next phase, but it has also prepared you for it.

If the voice inside your head is telling you a career shift or new business is necessary, but also reckless or irresponsible, do not fear; and remind yourself it’s normal. Focus on the positive; attempt to achieve your career goals with great success as there’s no reason you can't do anything if you’re determined enough.
Good Luck All!
